Tyler Smith, better known as Tylerhateslife, died tragically early Tuesday morning after his motorcycle hit a deer.
The death was initially covered by Rapzilla’s Just Sarachik in a heartfelt eulogy:
“Knowing Tyler and talking to him, was like trying to catch energy with your bare hands. That’s why you can classify his music and artistry as lightning in a bottle.
Tyler wasn’t quite a rapper, wasn’t just a singer, wasn’t necessarily just a songwriter – he was everything all at once. He was genreless. He didn’t particularly care if you liked what he was doing, he knew, that whatever he was working on would reach the person it was supposed to.”
Tyler, an army vet who served as a chaplain and paratrooper, was devoted to using his gifts to reach people for Christ. His style and music amassed a following of half a million on social media and another half a million listeners each month.
While many of his fans may not be aware of his passing, it’s certain that his music will continue to resonate, ensuring that his legacy lives on.
Tyler leaves behind three sons, five siblings, and his fiancee, Savannah. He was 28 years old.
We pray for love and support to envelope his family and loved ones in the moment. May the Peace of God carry you through your grief.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
