after looking at the code, all signs point to the video editors ... the code shows that the web designer named things based around the video and sound names... at least the web designer changed the titles etc...

Supernatural freestyles about the Wu-Tang line up at Rock the Bells. I guess he didn't get the memo that he's not a Christian rapper If you just wanna hear the Lecrae part, go to the 4:30 mark (he's a secular rapper so you know the language)

    Art expresses ideas, though.

Reach Records says this on their site:

"Art functions as the billboard of culture. New ideas and values move through art and work their way into the fabric of the people. Major movements all had a soundtrack formed around them, and in some cases the music sparked the movement."

What ideas and values do we want to promote in our art? To say art is just art is false.

Now, we can debate whether or not it is true, but I remember shai linne once saying in a song, "Every rapper's a preacher. What's your sermon about?"
"He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself; When he speaks kindly, do not believ him, for there are seven abominations in his heart." Proverbs 26

Feel free to explain a bit more as to why it isn't true. Fundamentally, a preacher puts forth a message he wants to convey to his listeners. A rapper does the same. What differs is the type of message. But both convey something. shai didn't say that every rapper's a PASTOR. He said every rapper is a preacher.

Shai Linne used the term "preacher" as "someone who conveys a message". Thus, a rapper is a "preacher" in a sense. So the question is, what is Lecrae's sermon about?

THose Boi-1da beats was weak on the last one. Hopefully, he'll have better beat selection. Interesting he got Paul Wall since he's a "former" Christian rapper. Lecrae bet not bring that lazy flow or I guarantee you Paul will outrap him.

Shai Linne didn't say the word "pastor" but the two are interchangeable. They're both affiliated with religion. However if he wants to define a preacher as someone who's conveying a message then that could be everyone, whether you're a rapper, painter, stay at home mom, teacher. Anyone can convey a message to people so that definition is really broad.

At the end of the day it's Shai's song so he can define the word how he wants, but that doesn't mean it will define others.

Pastor and preacher can be interchangeable, but they are not always. For instance, you have evangelists who go around preaching at different churches who may qualify to be called itinerant ministers but are not pastors. Those who go out and preach in the streets are preachers, yet most of them are not pastors. So, with all due respect, that explanation is not accurate.

Concerning painters, stay at home mom's, etc., it is only a valid comparison if their work directly involves them conveying a message. I can see a painter, if you mean an artist who conveys messages through his art, but then, he's not actually saying any words. So, technically, he isn't preaching at all. A stay at home mom mostly has influence over her children, so she could definitely be preaching to her kids, but it isn't the same thing as picking up a microphone and conveying a message to the masses.

But, let's not argue over what could be deemed semantics.

Me going out into the street and telling people it's about to rain is not preaching. It is sharing a message, but there's a clear difference between the two. Are you changing your definition of preaching to exclude messages being conveyed non-verbally now?

A painter is excluded from directly conveying messages because it is done non-verbally?

A stay at home mom is excluded because she isn't picking up a microphone, are you serious?

Anyways there's my reason for why I disagree, because by that broad definition everyone would be considered a preacher. Well everyone except for artists and mothers apparently.. however that works.
