I also really, really recommend Future Men to every walking male I know. It's about raising sons but I read prior to being married and before having kids and it was a reality check on whether I was a full grown man. Pointed out madd character flaws and areas where I needed to man up. But it was full of grace as well, so not a "beat you up" book.

When you feel lonely (because you still will) think "Christ and the Church"... When you tired of forgiving and forbearance think "Christ and the Church"... When the grass looks greener (and it will) think "Christ and the Church"... When you wanna say "if I knew it was gone be like this..." think "Christ and the church"...
