Default Finally: Friend Coming To Church

After this entire year of being nice, encouraging, and just building a friendly relationship with a guy on campus I knew from the radio station (he is an agnostic. Says he hates church because it's all about segregation in Alabama churches.) has agreed to go to church with me for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Said he was excited because no one has ever invited him to church since he's been in school (5 years). Pray for him. Thanks fam.

woah how did this go brother?

And you are still on my heart and prayer. I am encouraged by your heart for Him, and your confidence in His provision.

He never came. I pressed him, but not overwhelming because I don't want him to be turned off -- but he was highly apologetic and said he felt "bad for missing the biggest Sunday to try to make it to because he overslept." (Easter). But I am praying for him, and I pray he has seen how (I hope this doesn't sound boastful, it truly is not meant to be) I have been able to handle the tornado ordeal and understand that the suffering I am experiencing/experienced is nothing compared to what Christ experienced on the cross for my sins. Our losses or worldly and mean nothing in the long run. All I lost was stuff. I still have the hope that springs eternal in Christ Jesus. He said he's been "encouraged and uplifted by the strength" of me and another one of his Christian friends. So be praying for him, please. And pray that God continues to use these circumstances as an opportunity to grow and mature me, and live out the Gospel through it all. My friend has come a long way, and I pray I have the opportunity to continue to build with him next semester.
