I like Lecrea's albums but rarely go back to them after listening to them for a week after purchase; they just take up space.
(perhaps this belongs in the lecrea unpopular opinions about lecrea thread)

I don't agree with cats who say that CHH just isn't good anymore I have listened to it since the 80s and I love it and support it as much as ever.

The Wizards are the best team in the East and will be in the NBA finals. John Wall is in the conversation for best point guard in the NBA.

I think I get what you are saying. But in the same way, does not the virtual silence on either issue by non Americans within this forum (except for TLW for the most part) equally condemn the non American members as being just as self absorbed, apathetic, or both, about things that do not directly affect them?
Just a thought.

what Egovanego said.
There has been the canada shooting, Boko haram in Nigeria, al shabab bombings in kenya where more than 300 people so far this year have been killed, the martin place siege in sydney (my own country)...the list goes on.
But there is not a peep on those happenings. But a guy gets shot by cops and BOOM!! the interwebs explode!
In fact, if you wanna know, Egovanego and myself are in two different countries (he in Africa, me in Australia) and we regularly chat on these things happening around the world and much more on whatsapp. But look on facebook/twitter on many of the people's pages, the CHH artists pages and they show themselves to be, in your words, "self absorbed, apathetic" etc. not even a mention of these serious things happening globally, rather then are concerned about perceived, true or not, injustices all the while they are living in perhaps the richest country in the world!!
Just an observation mate, thats all.
It is after all an unpopular opinion thread
"One guy dying in America" is an issue that not only happened here in the states but it's an ongoing issue that touches on race relations and injustice. So of course we would be more aware and tuned in to it than something that happened in another country.
It doesn't mean we shouldn't be aware of what goes on in other places but a lot of people just don't pay too close attention to the happenings in other countries.
"Oh God, you are my God and I will ever praise you."
Mate you don't need to pay close attention. Even just a little attention to what's happening elsewhere will help broaden one's perspective on even the issues of race relations and injustice. The very reasons why we study history are the same reasons why we should take a look at the world beyond our homes. That's why some of us from outside look at some of these threads and shake our heads

Fair enough. Also keep in mind that just because a thread isn't made on here it doesn't mean that people on here aren't aware of other issues. I don't think there's a thread about the Sony hackers or how the new Seth Rogen movie "The Interview" isn't being released because of concerns with North Korea.
