same with me. Tedashii might just make it into the end of year list...

I miss the old Shai. Evangel's been pretty consistent on each album in my opinion.

Shai has fallen off with his last couple of projects, they have been boring to say the least. That old fire is gone...

He's at a different place in his life being a pastor and now a family man. It's been reflected in his music as he's gone to more songs of reverence to worship God instead of making hip hop. I think this has affected Trip Lee also.

^I can respect that, I look at them like Jayz status now, I dont expect the same things from them, at the same time I respect their perspective. If anything I should feel some type of way since Im not as mature as them but been saved longer than them....

Maturity isn't measurable. And becoming a minister or pastor doesn't make you more mature. We all have our own calling. The greeter at the entrance of a church can be just as mature if not more than the pastor of the church.

God alone is our resource, and all growth comes by grace through Him, but we are responsible to make the choice to do those things that will place us in position to receive that grace. “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:5-8).

I think you can identify it but you can't measure it. But that's just plain old me. *chuckles*

I can't stand the obsession with Lecrae. The scrutiny he receives from his 'fans'. Lecrae didn't die for my sins or promises me eternal life with a new body. He is just a dude like us with: a higher platform and cultural influence. Where are the prayers for: him abstaining from temptations, his safety and for his family?

I wish he said, that he wanted to make music for the secular market to lead them to the gospel. That statement would have been better than the whole:'I'm not a Christian rapper, I'm a rapper that's Christian' debacle. Just be honest brother.

Anyway, I'm going keep Lecrae in prayer for: the new temptations he will face or is currently facing due to his recent success and breaking the CHH glass ceiling.

Gas was 39 cents per liter (compared to $1.49 per liter) today at Shell gas stations across the city in memory of what the price was in 1984. I didn't line up because the money used to fill up my tank would have been wasted waiting in line 20 blocks.

Yes. I'm not mistaking this thread for anything other that it is. "I didn't line up because the money used to fill up my tank would have been wasted waiting in line 20 blocks." I guess I could have worded my statement differently so you would understand more.

The point is that crazy amounts of people lined up (and even drove all the way across the city) for 39 cent gas. Would I do something like that? No. Because not only does it waste my time, it wastes my gas waiting in line to get it. A few people told me that I'm crazy for saying that and that I should go line up. I told them their crazy for waiting in line for a few bucks off and that they will most likely not even get to gas up because there is a deadline for the deal.

Therefore my opinion is unpopular because not many saw it the way I did.
