I fear too many on here do not know the biblical gospel and I often get concerned for their salvation (greater than 0 is too many).

I fear too many on here do not know the biblical gospel (much less where to find it in scripture, OT and NT) and thus have no clue what is being said to them when someone tries to lovingly correct them.

I fear some are so hung up on special revelation (gnosticism) and/or situational hermeneutics that their very soul could be in danger.

I fear some are more students of hip-hop and/or sports than diligent students of God's word.

I am concerned that I'm too quick with my typing and too slow with my reading.

I am concerned that I might spend too much time on this board (even though I have learned to abstain from certain posts).

I fear that my concern for souls will be straw man'd into legalism and not caring, compassionate, exhortation towards self-analysis.

I think a hiatus from church is a good thing to rejuvinate
I don't see a problem w/ artists going back and fourth from gospel to secular music given that they are not being raunchy
IMO everybody who does gospel is not cut out to do it professionally (Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child for example, she was not fit, she should stick to dance music)

it's bizarre to me when folks who have been rap fans for several years have never heard of timothy brindle.

his albums were never obscure, remaining in philly, collecting dust. he was on an international platform. i remember when me and Usual Suspects used to ship for lamp mode and we'd get requests from places like australia and south africa. so it's crazy to me when an american who's been into CHH for more than five years doesn't know him.

(btw, i know people can't help what they don't know; i just think it's strange in this case).

If you ask any geniune believer, they'll say Jesus saved them. Even Free Willies believers. How God saved them is the debate (regenerate then believe (Pollen Posee). Or believe then regenerate (Free Willies) But they both will ultimately God saved/regnerated them.

There's way too many believers that are extremely loose with their Christianity. There are far too many shows being brought up that believers enjoy that we should have NOTHING to do with (especially if it laughs at sin & even promotes it). This includes certain (if not MOST) movies as well, which should never even be viewed by born again believers.

I don't understand how believers can enjoy music that doesn't highlight God in some way. Yes, I'm a Jesus 40x cat, and I'm not saying EVERY song must do this...but if a person really gets more enjoyment out of songs that don't highlight Him I seriously wonder what's going on.

It's irritating to me that when people post something pushing believers to hate the world more and go hard after Christ that the people get mocked & called legalists. This is discouraging and makes me wonder how much Christians really do love the world.
