I'll never deny that they've been good(not over the past decade, but that's beside the point), or that they're a legacy team, but they aren't "America's Team".

The only way "Dallas Cowboys", "America's" and "team" should be in the same sentence, is "Dallas Cowboys are America's most hated team."

That's alright though, I'm a Yankees fan, so I can relate with you on the "hate" thing.

The whole "America's Team" thing stems from them being based in Texas... yeah, I'm sure of that. Of course here in Texas, America = Texas. I still haven't figured out what country the rest of you live in.

• north American Christianity places too much cultural bias on non-essentials elevating them to biblical truths, or signs of how "saved" someone is when they are not (eg views on alcohol etc)

• CHH is missing the mark when it comes to having a global missions perspective. It's a shame that dudes have no problem getting secular hip-hop but Harley get any CHH.
• Cats need to get off their soapboxes on her and listen to one another rather than waiting to speak. If this was the case I'd probably post more than lurk.
• hcr gif war threads are some of the best threads on the net

I think Swoope is Top 5 in the CHH game (Regardless if you think hes biting or not) dude's got a Top Notch flow.

I can't fully listen to Eshon Burgundy, Timothy Brindle, or Shai linne cause their beats put me to sleep.

Live performances with actual drums and Guitars > Beats from a Ipod or a computer.

By the way, I personally dislike the Iowa Hawkeyes for two reasons.

1) They play in the Big Ten
2) They were the Steelers uniforms (Go Ravens!)

CHH fans do not have better taste than Secular Hip-Hop fans. We criticize the lack of original lines, subject matter, or elementary bars in secular. Then quote a very average CHH line as a classic material. When your album sucks the secular world will boo you forever. In CHH I could hear a pin drop. Not saying we should boo but we should hold artists to a standard and let them know when they don't meet it. We have nursery rhyme rappers and we support them.

Secular Hip-Hop rarely gives 5 stars or use the words classic, or g.o.a.t. In CHH I hear it at least 5 times a year.


The average lyricism fan mistakes a good flow and words that connect with them for hot lyrics.

The average CHH listener is a victim of the marketing machine as much as the secular. Thinking that a popular artist is the best in the entire genre, not realizing that they are a fan more because of marketing and popularity than talent. They are to lazy to see what's outside of the box but brag that “popular artist” is so innovative and ahead of everyone else.

The average CHH fan is not even a Hip-Hop fan they're just into what's popular right now. If hip-hop lost its popularity most fans in secular and CHH would follow whatever is the new sound.

If Hip-Hop was left up to up true heads, we'd ruin it cause we'd turn it into a degree and only the top three graduating students would be allowed to put out an album each year. I kinda like that idea.

- I'm fine with Obama being president

- I take hiatuses from HCR because sometimes the conversations in certain threads aren't fruitful and when I'm not careful, I end up participating in the convos myself instead of ignoring them and looking at other threads that are fruitful

- I hated Michael Jordan most of his career because they were winning too much. I finally started to respect him his last couple of years on the Bulls...

- I try to check out the artists that some of you HYPE UP on here. Some of them sound good like that guy Bless'ed for example. Others I just can't really get into...

- Though I support Reach Records, I don't like EVERYTHING that they put out. I like the 116 Compilation, Lecrae's Real Talk, Tedashii's Kingdom People, both of Trip's cds, and 13 Letters. That's about it...

- It makes no sense to me when guys who aren't courting/dating or who have never courted/dated try to give advice on the matter...
