I think Flame is overrated. I think he is less than mediocre from a lyrical perspective but he makes a good hype man

Don't agree with all the hype about Sho Baraka's music - maybe its just cuz he is on Reach.

For everyone who owns a reach record and is in this thread saying they're over rated, I just want to say, you guys are victims of marketing.

IMO, to date, they have had the BEST marketing of any other rap group. I mean, comon, they get people who think they're mediocre to buy their records....off what? Having great marketing, packaging and presenting a professional image.

The reason why I tend to stick to music coming from guys like Lamp Mode, Reach, and Christcentric is because not only are those artists clever lyricists with wordplay and multis, but more importantly they put out music that ministers to me. I want my CHRISTIAN music to minister to me.

If I just wanted to hear some good music that would entertain me, then I would listen to secular...

Since I currently live in Washington, I love my Redskins. Even though they send me to near heart attacks each and every Sunday & I'm starting to see the frustration Philly folk had with McNabb's genius-followed-by-seeming-mindlessness.

Yet I also want to see Vick and [gasp]Tebow[/gasp] do well.

While music doesn't have to communicate doctrine, most of the church's history has done just that with music.

    iTHINK.

... shekinahsmoke is thanking posts randomly.
... many of you are more outspoken on the board than in real life.
... God will use a female rapper to spark revival in the secular hip hop community.
... that "once saved, always saved" is not true.
... the world will not end in 2012, but something significant will happen.
... CHH is too repetitive and simplistic with the message of the Cross; it's much deeper than we present it.
... CHH doesn't have enough worship songs, which is what I think music's primary purpose is.
... the most effective parts of the Body are not the most popular, but are hidden and unseen ... for now.

You don't have to rhyme scripture every line in your music to be considered a CHH artist.
You don't have to sound like Reach Records and Cross movement to be a CHH artist.

I think about 70% of the people listening to CHH believe you should follow at least one of those molds or your secular.
