wow what a tragedy. Dude was one of my favorites for a long time. Wow 35 with an MI thats crazy. Def keep his wife and kids in prayer.

In memorance one of my favorite verses from dude

The fact still remains to be/ the Son of God broke my chains and bore pain for me/ 'cause when no one else did, He diedso I can live,/ so it's not I that lives but Christ that lives/ within my quarters/ worthy is the captain of the bloodsport whose blood bought us His love caught us\ when we were in sin at every hand\ He broke heavy bands when he took a taste test of death for every man\ Come and see we've found the One\ He's the bright and Morning Star 'cause everything revolves around the Son

He's omnipotent, omniscient self-sufficient, pre-eminent co-existent, never distant\ the divine Thriller, the Blood-Spiller Void-Filler · the Peace-be-Stiller/ the Sin-in-the-flesh-Killer/ The livin' agua ·the never endin' saga Aleph and the Tau, Eternal Father\ Infinite with all might whose shinin' bright with all light Jesus the Christ the Author and Finisher of all life!

this is sad news, yet good news. sad in the fact he is not here amongst the living and we will not be able to hear more lyrics for Christ. but good in the fact that he's where we all hope and look forward to being one day, in the presence of our Savior face to face. may we pick up our plow and continue on in the fields. my heart and prayers are with his family and friends

I spent all three years of college as good friends wit Juan man! We recorded a few songs together! He really shared alot with me, that's where I get that "chip" on my shoulder from. I spit it how I feel it, thanks to Juan. He also taught me alot about being authentic, and being an everyday believer vs. a Sunday saint! I appreciate him man, even through divorce and the fam going back to philly, tha homie stayed consistent! He was a good friend of mine! Had the pleasure of talking to him about a month ago & when we talked about music, he told me he was more content at this point in his life just taking care of his family! Imma miss him! I talked to Natalie tonight, she seemed in good spirits, thank God for Jesus!

I'm saddened for his wife and kids, but I do rejoice because He's with the Lord and the troubles of this life he doesn't have to deal with anymore! "Introducin'" is still one of my favorities hip hop songs of all time and it still bangs! I'm glad to have met him a few years ago at an event at HU and he was a cool brother. He complained about the DC traffic! LOL

May God comfort his family during this time.

Thanks for posting the news for me while I was traveling this weekend. Also thanks for all the links to tribute videos and messages.

I spoke to Nock's wife Natalie this afternoon as she was making preparations for the funeral. She said she was greatly encouraged by all the calls and messages, but still dealing with it all.

She said she broke down when working on the funeral arrangements because it just didn't seem real or fair that she should have to be doing this at such a young age. She also kept their 4-year-old daughter Jana home from school today because she was crying last night about missing her daddy.

I haven't had a chance to visit (out of town all weekend and live about an hour away from them) but know that several Houston artists and friends have stopped by to look after her. Plus, her family is close so I'm sure that has helped.

Our convo got cut short because the church beeped in during our call and she needed to talk to them.

So, I'm not aware of any immediate financial or physical needs but will try to keep folks posted.

Obviously please keep them in your prayers.

    Blessings,

WOW. Eternal rest upon him, and may God be with his family.

Hazakim was blessed to have Enock on our first album - back in 2000! He RIPPED it on "Only in America". More importantly we feel honored to have known this dear brother. I'll never forget the rides to work when the car broke down, the many deep convos and the transparency this brother displayed.

May we see Juan soon again in the Kingdom of our LORD! Shalom

Just got back from the Memorial Service. His wife Natalie is in good spirits. Continue praying for her as I'm sure there is still some financial needs.
