Day 1 – A New Month, A New Commitment

For most of us, perhaps May did not end the way we intended; the month began with good plans that fell apart midway. By June, there is more to confess than to celebrate. If this describes you, this Reset does not ignore reality. God meets you exactly where May left you.
God gives fresh mercies every day because He understands how quickly our plans unravel. He knew Tuesday would often undo Monday’s good intentions. The invitation to begin again flows directly from His unchanging faithfulness, which has never depended on our perfect performance.
However, starting over without clear intention simply repeats the same cycle under a new month. Real intention pulls you back after failure and reminds you of what you originally committed to before life became busy and distracting. Those who set a clear intention and follow through imperfectly will always make more progress than those who keep waiting until they feel fully ready or motivated.
Before June slips away, set one simple spiritual goal for these 21 days. Choose a single, realistic practice, such as reading one chapter of Scripture before you check your phone in the morning, or spending ten minutes in honest prayer before bed. Pick the one that feels doable and make it non-negotiable.
If there is room for a second goal, add a physical one. The physical and spiritual aspects of this Reset are connected. Moving your body daily is itself an act of worship.
Write both goals down in a place where you will see them every day. God told Habakkuk to write the vision plainly for a reason. A goal that exists only in your head remains a vague wish. Writing it down is a practical act of faith that demonstrates you expect God to help you follow through.
The only difference between where you are today and where you ended May is a willing heart and a new morning. God has never needed more than that to begin something new. His mercies are fresh right now, and He is glad you are here.
Reflection Questions

What did May reveal about where my spiritual life needs more intention, and what is the one thing I am willing to protect differently this month?

If I kept one simple spiritual goal for the full 21 days of this Reset, what would look different in me by June 28?

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You that Your mercies are new this morning and that Your invitation to begin again was never conditional on how May went. Forgive me for the times I let good intentions give way to the noise of the week without a fight. As I start this new Reset, help me set my intention before the busyness sets in, and keep me tethered to it when I am tempted to drift. Teach me that You are not looking for my perfection but my willingness, and that a willing heart brought back to You is always enough. Build something in me over these 21 days that holds long past the last one. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 2 – Learning to Wait Well.

Image: https://holyculture.net/wp-content/uploads/Devotional-covers-13-1024x427.jpg In the Book of Job, God acknowledged Job’s character to Satan,...

In the Book of Job, God acknowledged Job’s character to Satan, declaring that he was “perfect and upright, one that feared God and stayed away from evil.” Satan replied that Job’s fear of God only existed because God had protected and blessed him, making him the wealthiest man in the entire region. He went so far as to claim that if God removed everything Job had, he would curse God to His face.
When God allowed all of Job’s possessions, his servants, his livestock, and even his children to perish in one day, the first thing Job did was worship God. Job 1:20-21 says: “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, ‘Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.’”
Essentially, Job was saying that whether he experienced scarcity or abundance, whether he was broke or rich, and whether he was alone or surrounded by family, his allegiance remained with God. Our relationship with God is not based on blessings but on covenant. What a powerful initial response to affliction!
After witnessing this, God pointed out to Satan that his assumptions about Job had been proven false. Satan then claimed that if God afflicted Job’s body, he would surely curse Him. Confident in Job, God permitted this as well, and Job became covered in painful boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Despite the excruciating pain and his wife’s urging to “curse God and die,” Job refused. Once again, he displayed his deep reverence for God.
Even his friend Zophar, using human logic, accused Job of deserving what he was experiencing (Job 11:6), unaware that this was completely false. The lesson here is that advice from friends can be helpful, but other people are not always privy to the sovereign movements of God.
However, like many of us, Job was not perfect. The stress and turmoil eventually became unbearable, and he began to detest life, declare his own righteousness, and complain to God. Some might argue that complaining was justified in his situation, but Philippians 2:14 commands us, “Do everything without complaining and arguing.” This instructs us to guard our hearts against murmuring, even in times of temporary discomfort. Instead, we should maintain a heart posture of patient but courageous faith (Psalm 27:14), trusting that God will deliver us at the appointed time and remembering that He is always with us, even in hard times.
At the end of all his trials and tribulations, Job was restored and given twice as much as he had before. He was blessed with seven more sons and three more daughters. He lived 140 years after that and saw four generations of his children and grandchildren.
The moral of this story is that God is always faithful and will never allow us to suffer more than we can handle or wait longer than necessary. What you are experiencing may be a test rather than a punishment – an expansion of your capacity to handle future blessings rather than an increase in tribulation.
Let’s learn to wait well in Jesus’ mighty name. Hallelujah!
Reflection Prompt

What is your heart posture when waiting on God to deliver you from affliction or to bring a promise to pass? Is it one filled with anxiety, impatience, or complaining? If yes, based on today’s devotional, how can we change that?

What are ways you can wait in ways that are pleasing to God?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come to you with a heart of gratitude in awe of your power. May the way we wait upon your deliverance, your mercy, your breakthrough be pleasing to you. May we never forget the times you have delivered us before and may we never lose faith that you will deliver us again. We bless your Holy Name no matter life circumstances. Amen

In this powerful episode of King Legend Talks, King Legend sits down with Trends Setta Sense for a conversation that goes far beyond music. What begins as a discussion about Christian hip hop quickly becomes a deeper reflection on obedience, leadership, family, ministry, and the responsibility that comes with influence.

One of the biggest themes of the episode is the impact of the Chosen Journey set at Rolling Loud. Trends Setta Sense explains that the moment was not just about performing on one of the biggest hip hop stages in the world. It was about touching lives, saving souls, and bringing the message of the kingdom into a space where many people may not expect to encounter it. From prayer before the set to moments of ministry inside the festival, the conversation reveals that there was much more happening behind the scenes than what viewers saw online.
King Legend and Trends Setta Sense also discuss the importance of accountability and leadership in Christian hip hop. They highlight how artists must understand that their words carry weight, especially when they are representing Christ. The episode reminds listeners that ministry is not always instant fruit; sometimes it is seed planting. Someone may hear a lyric, witness a prayer, or experience a moment of light in a dark place, and that seed may grow years later.
Another touching part of the conversation is Trends Setta Sense speaking about his family, especially his wife, mother, and in-laws. Their support has played a major role in his journey, showing that behind public moments of success are private moments of prayer, encouragement, sacrifice, and love.
Overall, this episode is a reminder that Christian hip hop is not just a genre. It is a mission field. King Legend and Trends Setta Sense challenge creatives to keep God’s purpose at the forefront, stay obedient, ignore distracting noise, and walk boldly in their assignment. Whether on a stage, in a prayer tent, or in everyday life, the call remains the same: serve God, love people, and let the Holy Spirit lead.

On this episode of I’ll Just Let Myself In, Lish Speaks welcomes guest Coach Christal Brown for a conversation filled with wisdom, vulnerability, humor, and truth. Known as “The Vision Coach,” Christal brings more than motivational language to the table. She brings lived experience, spiritual depth, and the kind of clarity that helps people see themselves differently.

Throughout the conversation, Christal shares how her journey shaped her calling. From growing up in the South, to building a career as a dancer and teacher, to navigating single parenthood, faith, love, abstinence, and purpose, her story reminds listeners that vision is not just about what we want to accomplish. Vision is about who we are becoming.
One of the most powerful themes of the episode is the importance of knowing yourself before offering deep access to others. Christal speaks honestly about intimacy, love, motherhood, healing, and the discipline it takes to choose wholeness over temporary comfort. Her reflections invite listeners to ask deeper questions: Am I living from my vision, or am I reacting to my circumstances? Am I building boundaries, borders, or barricades? Am I willing to do the work required to become the person I say I want to be?
This episode is also a reminder that leadership does not always look like control. Sometimes leadership looks like alignment, humility, curiosity, and love. Christal’s wisdom challenges the listener to stop waiting for permission, stop shrinking from their gifts, and start walking through the doors God has already opened.
For anyone seeking clarity, healing, purpose, or the courage to move forward, this conversation with Coach Christal Brown is one to revisit, reflect on, and share.

In this episode of What It Iz, What It Beez Like?! on Holy Culture Radio, host Slim Sizzle (formerly King Size) sits down with one of Christian hip hop’s most consistent voices, Angie Rose. What follows is one of the most honest conversations the show has hosted in a while — a real look at what happens when a public artist decides to step out of the spotlight to take care of herself.

Angie opens up about her break from social media, which started as a planned week off and stretched past three months. She describes the season as a “cocoon” — a time of transformation rather than mere change. Away from the pressure to perform online, she says she started “finding me again,” hearing music for joy instead of obligation, and rebuilding her original team of friends who knew her before the industry.
The conversation moves through some powerful territory: learning that boundaries are healthy, that it’s okay not to be fond of everyone, and that discernment protects your heart. Angie is also transparent about the weight of being a role model for young women and the physical toll her ministry journey has taken.
The episode’s most striking moment comes near the end. Reflecting on her missions trips to places like Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, Angie shares a simple but profound conviction: “the cure for depression is serving.” Drawing on the words “his yoke is easy, his burden is light,” she explains why pouring into others — even when it’s hard — turns out to be the very thing that lifts you.
It’s a thoughtful, faith-rooted episode about rest, identity, and finding life by giving it away. Tune in to What It Iz, What It Beez Like?! on Holy Culture Radio.

There’s a moment in every conversation worth having where the talk stops being entertainment and starts being a mirror. This episode of WhatItIzWhatItBeezLike?! with guest Ray2k is one long stretch of those moments.

Ray2k didn’t pull up to sit comfortably. He came to talk about the fight — the one nobody posts about. The flesh-and-blood battles, the demons that show up uninvited, the weight of carrying your own cross when no one is around to share the load. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve been playing life on hard mode while everyone else seemed to have a guide, this conversation is going to feel less like a podcast and more like a phone call you needed.
What makes Ray2k worth listening to isn’t that he claims to have it all figured out. It’s that he’s been through enough to know what actually works. He talks about faith not as decoration, but as something lived in — Jesus as a tenant inside, not a poster on the wall. He talks about provision, about protection, about staying ready when the pressure comes. That’s the cheat code: not a shortcut around the struggle, but a way to walk through it without breaking.
The host keeps the energy honest, and the back-and-forth never drifts into the kind of recycled advice you’ve heard a hundred times. This is raw, specific, and rooted in real experience. The viewer is the subject here — the questions Ray2k answers are the ones you’ve probably been carrying yourself.
So here’s the open question the episode leaves you with: if you finally got the code, what would you actually do with it? Watch the full episode of WhatItIzWhatItBeezLike?! with Ray2k, and find out what it really is — and what it really beez like.

Fresh Leftovers welcomed 404.Chew for a powerful and honest conversation centered on faith, purpose, ministry, and the heart behind his upcoming project, Christ or Die. Known for his high-energy presence and raw authenticity, 404.Chew opened up about his mission to reach the streets with a message that is both urgent and deeply rooted in the gospel.

During the episode, he explained that his music is not about preaching to the choir, but about speaking directly to people who understand the realities of the streets. For him, Christ or Die is more than a bold title; it represents surrender, transformation, and the truth that real life is found in Jesus. He also shared how intentional this project has been compared to previous releases, describing it as an album prepared through prayer, consecration, and a desire to impact souls.
One of the most moving moments came when 404.Chew spoke about how Jesus delivered him from depression and gave him purpose when he once felt lost, empty, and unwanted. He also discussed grieving the loss of his mother, stepping into new responsibilities, and learning to remain a son of God before anything else.
Through ministry, campus outreach, music, and personal testimony, 404.Chew is using his voice to point people back to Christ. This episode of Fresh Leftovers was a reminder that God can use broken stories, surrendered hearts, and authentic voices to reach a generation in need of hope.

There is a question most leaders never ask. Not because they don’t care, but because somewhere underneath the busyness and the pressure and the performance, they’re afraid of what the answer might be.

What does your team say about you when you’re not in the room?
In Part 1 of my conversation with recording artist, worship leader, and author Big Fil, we go somewhere most leadership content never goes. Not strategy. Not systems. Not how to run a better one-on-one. We go into the interior. The stuff that lives underneath your leadership style and drives it without your permission.
Big Fil spent years leading people while his emotional intelligence was quietly doing damage he couldn’t see. He was giving everything he had. He was passionate. He was committed. And he was burning bridges he didn’t even know existed. Straining relationships. Losing people he thought were solid. Operating at full intensity while the people around him were absorbing the cost of it.
The turning point wasn’t a book or a framework. It was a therapist who told him something about his emotional development that stopped him cold. It was a feedback exercise with his own team that surfaced a pattern he couldn’t unsee once it was visible. It was someone close to him reflecting back a word for his behavior that wasn’t the word he would have chosen.
He called it passion. They called it something else entirely.
That gap, between how we see ourselves as leaders and how our people actually experience us, is where this conversation lives. And it is one of the most important gaps a leader can close.
What Big Phil describes isn’t unique to him. It shows up in corporate offices and team meetings and performance reviews every single day. Leaders who were excellent individual contributors, promoted because of what they could produce, now responsible for people they were never trained to lead. Operating from emotional patterns they’ve never examined. Wondering why their team feels distant, disengaged, or difficult.
The problem usually isn’t the team.
This episode is for the leader who is willing to ask the harder question. Not “what’s wrong with my people?” but “what am I bringing into the room that they have to manage?”
Part 1 of my conversation with Big Phil is available now on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you listen. This is where the real work starts.

“It’ll Be Ok” is a deeply transparent and pastoral record that speaks directly to the silent battles many carry but rarely express. Through raw and reflective lyrics, Pastor Charles A.R. confronts the pain of abandonment, emotional wounds, and the unseen weight of suffering that often goes unspoken. The song doesn’t shy away from reality—it acknowledges the hurt, the loneliness, and the frustration of taking the long road when you prayed for a shortcut. With a compassionate yet firm tone, the message shifts from pain to promise. “It’ll Be Ok” reminds listeners that even in seasons of rejection and unanswered questions, God’s presence remains steady. It challenges the culture of seeking validation and healing through social media, redirecting the heart back to prayer, intimacy with God, and true restoration.Eph. 4:29
This record is both a comfort and a call—comfort for those quietly breaking, and a call to hold on, trust God, and not give up. Rooted in faith and resilience, “It’ll Be Ok” is an anthem for anyone fighting through hardship, declaring that no matter what comes, healing is possible and hope is still alive.Eph. 4:29“It’ll Be Ok” confronts a generation that is increasingly vocal online but internally hurting. It challenges the normalization of performative vulnerability on social media and redirects listeners toward authentic healing through faith. In a culture where pain is often monetized and masked, this song brings a Christ-centered perspective that validates suffering while pointing to true restoration, accountability, and spiritual grounding.
Lyrics:
[Chorus: Rufus Johnson]
No matter how hard life may seem
Everything will be okay
If it don’t kill you, it’ll make you strong
Promise it’ll be okay
[Verse 1: Pastor Charles A.R.]
I know it’s not thing to talk about
The suffering, let’s call it out
Abandonment, the walking out
They left you all alone, and you calling out
You want the shorter path, but got the longer route
But hold on to His hand to keep from falling out
No matter what they throw your way
I promise it’ll be ok
[Chorus: Rufus Johnson]
No matter how hard life may seem
Everything will be okay
If it don’t kill you, it will make you strong
I promise it’ll be okay
Stay humble if you’re right
Learn the lesson if you’re wrong
I promise it’ll be okay
And don’t forget, God the Father won’t forsake you
I promise it’ll be okay
[Verse 2: Pastor Charles A.R.]
Silent cries, trying hide, from the fathers eyes
You’ve been victimized, those who hurt you won’t apologize
And social media will profit, while you die inside
Give you a penny for your thoughts, feeling monetized
Threads ain’t for therapy, posting every day and night
Don’t let these platforms circumvent your prayer life
And even though I know this sound cliche
Don’t throw the towel in, I promise it’ll be ok
[Chorus: Rufus Johnson]
No matter how hard life may seem
Everything will be okay
If it don’t kill you, it will make you strong
I promise it’ll be okay
Stay humble if you’re right
Learn the lesson if you’re wrong
I promise it’ll be okay
And don’t forget, God the Father won’t forsake you
I promise it’ll be okay
[Outro: Rufus Johnson]
No matter what you’re going through
You’re gonna be alright
Everything will be okay
You gotta keep pressing on
It’s gonna be alright, it’s gonna be okay
Better days are coming, just believe it
Promise it’ll be okay
Yes it will, yes it will, yes it will, yeah
Promise it’ll be okay

In a world filled with uncertainty, emotional strain, and constant pressure, “Change Gonna Come” stands as a bold reminder that God is still present, still faithful, and still moving. This record brings together Joshua Penn, Omega Sparx, Mayia, and Marv4MoBeats to deliver a unified message of hope, resilience, and spiritual renewal—anchored in the truth that transformation comes in God’s perfect timing. Rooted in honest reflection and unwavering faith, the song encourages listeners to release anxiety, trust God fully, and believe that their current season is not their final destination.
Built on a foundation of community and collaboration, the track reflects Holy Culture Records’ vision of bringing hip-hop back to its roots—connection, authenticity, and shared experience. As the lead single from the upcoming album This Is Worship, the song speaks directly to those navigating hardship, mental and emotional struggles, and spiritual fatigue. Its anthemic and uplifting tone blends transparent storytelling with a forward-looking perspective, offering both comfort and motivation.
Culturally, “Change Gonna Come” meets listeners at the intersection of faith and real-life struggle. In a hyper-individualized society where worry, doubt, and anxiety are often amplified, this record provides a counter-narrative—one rooted in surrender, trust, and community. It resonates especially within communities where hardship is not abstract but lived daily, offering a message that is both spiritually grounded and deeply relatable.

Lyrics:
[Chorus: MAYIA]
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
[Verse 1: Omega Sparx]
You’ve been feeling so down and low
You’ve been trying, but still crying, life’s a heavy load
You’ve been asking if the promise took a different road
Please just know, that the Lord, still watches over souls
Call upon His name, yeah you won’t be the same
He gives you sun after the rain, struggle won’t be in vain
Got so much to gain, and He notice your pain
So just smile through problems, bet that things gone change
[Chorus: MAYIA]
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
[Verse 2: Joshua Penn]
This is ain’t the end, ain’t got nothing to fear, let them anxieties go away
Cast your cares on Him, He already taught us how to pray
His mercy endures, it’s another day, by His grace
You can rest, even if you at the point you wanna break
But don’t sleep, know that Jesus is the way, fix your eyes on Him
This a walk of faith, full surrender, sign it over
Yo, these struggles and this suffering is only for a time,
Keep in mind, worries make your problems bigger than our God
[Chorus: MAYIA]
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that
Change gonna come, we believe that, believe that
Hands to the sky, we receive that, receive that

“Good Day” is an upbeat, soul-infused Gospel Rap anthem that blends contemporary hip-hop production with traditional spiritual themes. The track features a melodic, R&B-style hook by Rik Reed that anchors the song in a sense of morning-time peace and gratitude. The verses transition into high-energy lyricism, utilizing clever wordplay and “punchline” rap styles to discuss faith, perseverance, and personal transformation.

In a modern landscape often dominated by “hustle culture” and self-reliance, “Good Day” offers a counter-cultural narrative that centers on humility and spiritual surrender. It bridges the gap between urban hip-hop culture and the church, making faith-based content accessible to a younger generation that values authenticity and high quality production. The core message of the song is radical gratitude and divine dependence. It emphasizes that every new day is a gift from God and that true success is not “self-made” but rather a result of God’s grace and strength. The song appears to be inspired by the biblical concept of “new mercies every morning” and the specific desire to give God glory for surviving difficult “odds”. It reflects a personal journey of moving from hesitation to bold action through faith.
Lyrics:
[Intro]
And it’s live life music, please don’t confuse it
Please don’t confuse it
[Verse 1: T-Strike]
Woke up this morning, this morning woke up
You hear Dat?
Scratching and yawning, the presence of God was on me
You hear Dat?
You gotta lot to prevail and never fail, hey
I give the praise and you might get stuck in the moment
Oh heavenly Father, I don’t come as a bother
I just want to, I just want to praise your name
Can’t start my day ’til I say your name
I love you, I need you
You’re the one that I adore and you’re the one that I live for, hey hey
And I ain’t trying to make you jealous so I put my faith first like my last name
You hear that?
I know your praise you’re trying to get it, and it ain’t no bad timing
[Chorus: Rik Reed]
What a good day to be thankful
What a good day to be grateful
It’s a good time to say thank you for the many ways you came through
What a good day to be grateful, hey, hey
[Verse 2: _ImKai]
Listen, I do this for the kingdom, I don’t need your applause
And yes, I’m over 21 because I work these bars
Looking back I shouldn’t have made it, but I beat those odds
And you already know it’s all glory to God
He enables me to make it point A to point B
Cause I’m standing on the rock, no AC/DC
The joy of the Lord is my strength, so I’m dancing like David did
Go ahead and call it ABCD
Tired of hesitating, when He say go, I’m a run
Sky is not the limit when you fellowship with the Son
He told me to go, so I’m diving in #Practice #Iverson
Everybody say they different, I see the same though
So I had to go and change, call me Django
And everybody say they Christian too but don’t believe they words
No, I’m body mango
Underscore I’m K, but it’s no glory to me
I do this for the kingdom, it’s glory to G-O-D
When you looking at my life, know it’s not self-made
It ain’t by my strength and might, it’s His grace that you see K, yeah
[Chorus: Rik Reed]
What a good day to be thankful
What a good day to be grateful
It’s a good time to say thank you for the many ways you came through
What a good day to be grateful, hey, hey

In this episode of King Legend Talks, King Legend sits down with Christian artist and minister Madigan for a deeply personal conversation about faith, healing, music, and the boldness it takes to follow Jesus. From the beginning, the episode moves beyond surface-level interview questions and enters into the heart of Madigan’s testimony.

Madigan opens up about growing up with painful labels placed on him at a young age and how those labels shaped the direction of his life. After leaving home as a teenager, he spent years experiencing homelessness, bouncing from place to place while searching for stability, identity, and hope. Yet even in those difficult seasons, God was drawing him closer.
One of the most moving moments in the episode comes when Madigan describes encountering the tangible presence of God for the first time. That moment became a turning point in his life. What started as curiosity about Scripture became a real relationship with Jesus that changed him from the inside out.
The conversation also touches on forgiveness, church hurt, obedience, and evangelism. King Legend and Madigan speak honestly about the cost of following Christ and the freedom that comes through surrender. They remind listeners that forgiveness is not always easy, but it is necessary for spiritual growth and freedom.
Madigan also shares how music became an outlet for his relationship with God. What began as personal reflection eventually became a ministry tool to share the gospel and encourage others. By the end of the episode, the message is clear: God can use anyone who gives Him their yes.
This episode is more than an interview. It is a reminder that Jesus meets people in broken places, restores what was lost, and empowers believers to walk boldly in faith.
