Mary Byrne Smith is a pastor's wife who has been missing since 3/24 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Lets come together and pray for her that...

1) If she is alive, that the Lord would keep her safe, and strengthen her dependence on Him... that He would give her the wisdom to break free to safety and that those looking for her would be given the wisdom to find her.

2) If she is not alive (and I pray this is not the case) that the Lord would give those looking for her the wisdom to find her body so that her family and friends would have closure.

3) That He would provide her family and friends with comfort and peace beyond belief in this time.

The missing wife of an Alabama preacher may have disappeared on her own accord to grapple with personal deamons, Louisiana police said Thursday, as her husband spoke publicly for the first time since she vanished two weeks ago.

Mary Byrne "Beth" Smith may have left to start a new life, said Bossier City Police Chief Mike Halphen at a press conference Thursday.

Please continue to pray...

During the press conference, Halphen painted a picture of a troubled young woman, according to the Times report.

Detectives learned that Mary Smith was about to lose her job for failing a drug test, Halphen said. She had asked fellow teachers for pain medication, including highly addictive Loritabs, according to the Times.

Her "strange behavior" prompted the drug test, which came back positive, Halphen said.

Halphen also said that the woman had told colleagues that she was divorced and was a bad role model for her childre, aged 7 and 10

:( i pray the Lords will be done in this situation, that He will get glory out of it

man, that's sad.... :(

It is sad that she left, but I thank God that she is okay, and that it wasn't a kidnapping. I pray she gets the help she needs... It isn't normal to up and leave like that, so most definitely, I pray she gets the help she needs.

I am sure her fam is glad to atleast know she is safe :) I know that brings them a sigh of relief.
