Wow! That ain't chump change! lol

Ok they're rich. I get it.

Now where's the list of the poorest preachers?

The poorest preacher has to be Jesus. He didn't have a place to lay his head.

The next poorest is John The Baptist. This dude was eatin' bugs and honey man! lol

Matthew 2 tells us that the magi, or wise men, travelled from the East in search of the Christ child. They inquired of King Herod where they might find Him, saying, "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him" (Matthew 2:2). Upon finding the baby Jesus, “they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh” (Matthew 2:11

He was very, very, poor. He also was not good looking. He had nothing in the outward appearance that made people stand up and take notice. His power and his influence was spiritual. His authority was not of this world.

Jesus took the form of a servant. He wasn't livin' large. He emptied himself.

He probably was poor when he made that statement about where can he lay his head and people took it way out of content but Being the messiah Jesus Christ healing the sick, and all that glorious things is considered rich to me.

That statement shows you that Jesus was focused on his mission not on provision. He emptied himself and became a servant. It's a beautiful picture.

The prosperity gospel is a false gospel. The human perspective sees wealth as a blessing and poverty as a curse. God’s plan is much greater and uses both wealth and poverty to accomplish His will. We are to avoid the temptation to see wealth as God’s only blessing and instead be content in any and every circumstance, knowing that God’s blessings are not defined by our possessions in this world but are found in their fullness in a kingdom not of this world.

I have a dear brother in Christ who is a word of faith and prosperity Gospel preacher who would take you to task on your claim that it's a false Gospel. You have your scripts to establish your theological position and he has his. Such is life in the Body of Christ. lol

It's pretty much just like that! A big ole merry go round. lol

The Body Of Christ just isn't on the same page. They're just not on the same script when it comes to the scripts. Brothers and sisters are gonna get push back at one time or another for what they believe. It's the same everywhere. If a brother rolls thru talking about I speak in tongues he's gonna get push back. If a brother rolls thru talking about the gifts he gonna get push back. If a sister rolls thru talking about prosperity she gonna get push back. If a sister roll thru talking about divine healing she's gonna get push back. The truth is even Jesus if he were here in the flesh would get push back! Someone would have the temerity to push back on Christ. lol

And all of what you just said is in the bible but since people don't carry the gift of prophesy are the gift of speaking in tongues its not right, or its used out of context.

What you got in the Church is what I call an Ala Carte Christianity. It's a made-to-order personalized faith. Believers pick and choose what they like and leave what they don't like on the big religious plate that is Christianity. It's like you can almost pre-order revelations from your favorite preacher. It's like the moment he gets a revelation you get a text on your phone man and now you've got a new Christian hobby horse to ride and parade in front of other Christians. lol

Honestly they can't stop it. Christians if they're honest with themselves will admit that their faith is a exactly that: a made-to-order personalized faith. Seriously. In the Church we have everything from systematic theology to performance-art Christianity that's all for show. It runs the full gamut. We've also got "theology police" ready to write you a ticket for speeding thru the Bible without stopping long enough to focus on their "proof texts." Not to mention self-appointed Bible judges ready to scare you straight faster than that prison documentary with those young punks. And if that doesn't work they shun you like a "Christian Castaway" without the 3 hour tour. If it weren't true it wouldn't be funny. lol

All said and done you'll never see this disclaimer: No Christians Were Hurt In The Making Of This Church. lol
