Default What Type Of Church You Grew Up In??

I grew up COGIC (Church Of God In Christ) Very Lagalist! Then I went to a "white" church, but as I grew to know it Non-Denom. Now I still go to a non denom. church. Although it leants towards WOF some of the things I heard on here about WOF I went to muy pastor and we have talked time & time again and my pastor refutes & totally disagrees with. Well I'm glad He holds scripture above all.

I was born a baptist, grew up a methodist, and I now attend a United Reformed Church.
Jesus asked them: "Who do you say I am?" They said: "You are the eschatological manifestation of the ground of our being, the ontological foundation of our selfhood revealed." Jesus replied: "Huh?"

didn't grow up in the church.

at best, we were holiday "christians." and we didn't join a church until i was 15. the baptist church we joined was going through quite a political scene at the time (the pastor used a machine to roll over "gangsta rap" CD's, which made it on MTV News), this barely-known rap dude named Sean Combs had just had an event a few blocks away where people got trampled, and NYC had quite a few racial problems at the time ... but some doctrines aside it was a great place to be!

    bingo!

i must say, though, that although that church was big, the pastor actually knew who I and the other young folk were. that's not all that common in larger churches.

Grew up in the United Churches of Jesus Christ (Apostolic). Our Bishop was the founder of the organization and now if "Chief Apostle". I'm now searching for a new edifice.

I grew up in a baptist church in their bus outreach ministry. We met at a school and there were at the most ten bus routes. It was 95% kids and teens, but they had to develop an adult class.I was first picked up at around 4 or 5 years old, stayed in the ministry until I was about 26 (but I was apart of another ministry for almost four years while I was at that ministry.)
You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them,
yet they are more than can be told. Psalm 40:5

I was raised Jehovahs Witness until I got saved and started attending an Assemblies of God church, I went to an Assemblies of God University and started ministering in AOG church, then God lead me to Five Fold Ministry Charismatic churches and now I am part of a Messianic Jewish Synagogue (Baruch HaShem in Dallas) and the Ministry at Covenant Church in Carollton.

I remember reading the Apostles Creed out loud thinking "I don't believe in the Holy Catholic church, why am I reading this"?

You know it's not such a bad thing to NOT grow up in church, you avoid some of that cliche stuff.
