Praying with meaning
A Christian can ask God for something simply out of obedience not necessarily wanting it to happen (Luke 22:42), but remember that God knows what’s best.
First of all, what ever proceeds from the mouth is what was in the heart (Matt. 15:18), so there is meaning for what ever we open our mouths to pray to God for. But wanting what you’re praying for puts more meaning in your petition. To help your desire, think about why you’re praying for it, think about why it should or shouldn’t happen and the scriptures that your prayer is in line with. In all of this you’re building your desire for what the Lord has laid on your heart to ask for.
You don’t have to cry or shout to have more meaning in your prayer, it’s all a matter of the sincerity or desire of your heart (mind).
“Do you want it? How much do you want it?”
